Adult Summer Reading Challenge 2025

Read and attend programs June 14 – August 9, and you’ll be entered for chances to win prizes all summer long! Here’s how:

• This summer, we’re going retro: no log-ins, no apps, just paper! Pick up entry forms at the Circulation or Reference Desk; fill it out and drop it in the jar to be entered into the weekly drawing AND the Grand Prize drawing.
  • What counts as reading? Books, e-books, audiobooks, fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, magazines…. you read, it counts!
  • Participate in William Jeanes Library programs! For every adult program you attend, you’ll earn an entry into that week’s prize drawing and an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing.
• There will be a raffle drawing every Monday. The weekly prize is a $25 gift certificate for a local pizzeria or a Longwood Gardens pass good for up to 4 people. There will be a Grand Prize drawing on August 11th for the winner’s choice: a one year family membership to either the Morris Arboretum, Philadelphia Zoo, or Philadelphia Museum or Art.
• But wait, there’s more! You’ll also be helping to “color” our little world here at the library by decorating our “Color Our World” bookshelves on the front desk columns. Turn in an entry form and add a sticker to your “book” on the bookshelf. Whoever has the most stickers by the end of the challenge gets a bonus $25 gift certificate or Longwood Gardens pass!
• Prizes will be available for pickup at the Library (no shipping).
  • Winners of weekly raffle drawings and grand prize raffle drawing will be notified by phone or email.
