Begin this process on your computer by initiating a search in the “SEARCH CATALOG” box at the top of almost every page on this website or by clicking the “MY ACCOUNT” tab at the top of most pages. You will need your library card and you must create a password in order to use this feature.
Use the MY ACCOUNT tab to control your account—besides requesting new items, you can see if previously requested items have been shipped, and how much longer you have to pick them up after they have arrived, find out when all your due dates are and renew items here.
Click on the green eBooks free downloads button to the left to access the library’s digital audio, eBook, and magazine collection. Check the “supported portable eBook device” page for compatibility. Sony Readers, Kindles, Nooks are compatible.

With hundreds of exceptional titles to choose from, our online collection is sure to have something that fits your tastes. From popular novels by Nora Roberts, Catherine Coulter, Dean Koontz, and Amy Tan to the classic works of Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, and even Homer—our digital audio book collection spans nearly every genre. The collection also includes children’s, educational, and a wide variety of non-fiction titles including some in business, history, and self-help.
Digital audio books (digital versions of traditional audio books on tape or CD) can be enjoyed on your PC or on hundreds of portable WMA/MP3 players. You can also burn many audio books to CD and listen to them in the car or on any standard CD player.

NOOKs are pre-loaded with adult fiction and nonfiction, young adult and juvenile summer reading titles and more. 3 week loan. Only the pre-loaded books may be read on the Nooks; you may not download or purchase additional titles through these NOOKs. The device may be requested through the catalog or by calling the Library. NOOKs must be checked out from and returned in person to the William Jeanes Memorial Library circulation desk, during our open hours.
There are 10 public use computers in the adult department. Bring your Jeanes Library card to sign on to use the computers. If you don’t have a Jeanes Library card, we will give you a guest pass to sign on to use the computers. The computers are free to use; printing costs $.15 per page for black and white and $.50 per page for color. There are 2 public use computers in the teen area and there are 3 iPad stations in the children’s department for very young children which do not access the internet.
During regular Library hours, patrons can access the Internet through our free WiFi service. Bring your laptop and find a comfortable spot for tackling that homework assignment, writing a short story, or just checking email. Blackberries and iPhones welcome, as well. Just keep them muted while your fingertips tap away. Wireless/mobile printing is available. You do not need a password to use our WiFi. Just look for “WMJNS” in your WiFi settings. Our passes are available on a first come, first served basis. The membership cards may be borrowed for 3 days by any library cardholder who walks into the Jeanes Library. Click here to see which passes we have and their specifics.
