Young Adult (YA) Collection

Our YA Collection features over 3000 items relevant to young adults. The collections is mainly housed upstairs across from DVD and mystery sections to the left of the circulation desk in our YA Area. We invite you to come check it out! Unless otherwise noted, all YA items are subject to a 3 week borrow period.

  • New Books — Books published in last 3-6 months, fiction, non-fiction, biographies, graphic novels, and mysteries. Most can be found on the “New Books” wall in the YA area.
  • Fiction — The largest part of our YA collection, fiction includes both popular and classic titles.
  • Non-fiction —This small section complements our adult non-fiction section and features titles written for or relevant to a young adult audience.
  • Biography — Small section featuring titles written for the young adult reader.
  • Graphic Novels — Featuring over 300, this is a fast growing section of our YA collections!
  • Manga – Includes popular series like Demon SlayerKaiju, One Punch Man, and more!
  • Playaways — This section features titles on both CD and self-playing digital audio devices. Titles include both fiction and non-fiction.
  • Adventure Packs – These cool backpacks are perfect for the teen who likes to go explore outside. There are four backpacks with three different themes: Nature Excursion, Stargazing, and Geocaching. Each pack contains the following: Binoculars, composition notebook, portable GPS, a book that reflects the pack’s theme, mini flashlight, pedometer (non-Bluetooth), and a compass. The Packs circulate for a 2 week period.

THE LIBRARY WILL OPEN AT 12 NOON ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6th.

Out of an abundance of caution for staff and patrons, the Library will open to the public at 12 noon on Thursday 2/6.

The situation is evolving, so please check back for updates before heading over Thursday afternoon.

All morning programs and meetings are canceled. Please do not leave any Library materials outside or on the ground.
