The library’s Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is a group of teens between grades 6-12 who create, plan, and implement programs for the William Jeanes Memorial Library. They meet once a month (usually the first Friday of the month), between 3:30-5:00pm. The YAB volunteers their time for community service projects in the library as well.
Here is a list of just some of the amazing programs that the YAB has hosted!
Teens:
Annual Murder Mystery Party
Trivia Nights
Improv Night
Anti-Valentine’s Day
Winter Potluck Party
Harry Potter Night
Children:
Escape Rooms
Learn Animal Origami
DIY Slime
Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt
Storytimes (Frozen, Dragons Love Tacos, Black History Month, etc.)
The YAB is always open to new members. If you are interested in learning more or joining, please contact Eileen Denton, Youth Services Librarian at edenton@mclinc.org
