Children’s Summer Reading Challenge (Ages 5-11)

It’s too late to start now, but don’t worry, next summer will be here before you know it!

For current participants…

• Before Wednesday, August 12th, at 4:00 p.m., stop by the Children’s Library and show us your Log. For every week between June 15th and August 9th that you met your personal reading goal, we’ll stamp your Log and give you a raffle ticket as well as a coupon for a free book. You’ll also get one sticker for every hour of reading to add to our giant wall mosaic! For every week between June 15th and August 9th that you participated in one or more of our programs, we’ll stamp your Log and give you a coupon for a free book.
• Participants who completed an Early Literacy Sheet or met their weekly reading goal each week between June 15th and August 9th receive an extra grand prize raffle entry.
• The Week 8 raffle winner will be drawn on Wednesday, August 12th at 4:00 p.m., after which ALL tickets from EVERY week throughout the Challenge will be added the the Grand Prize drawing, which will then be drawn immediately.
• Prizes, free books, and stickers for our giant wall mosaic will be available only at the Children’s Library (no shipping)!
  • Winners will be posted in the Children’s Library and will notified by phone or email.
  • Winners of raffle drawings can select a prize.
  • Readers who earn free books will be able to select the books of their choice from hundreds of prize books available at the Library.
