Services

The William Jeanes Memorial Library is pleased to offer you the following services:

Free Wi-fi

Look for Wm Jeanes Public WiFi. No password is required, but it will bring up a Terms of Service page. You may even pick up our signal from the parking lot! With a gift from the Mary Knowles Technology Fund, we recently updated our wi-fi to a stronger signal with “cafe style” coverage. This means that wherever you are in the building, it’s one name and you won’t lose coverage moving from area to area.

Free Internet

If you would like to use one of our Public computers, you will need either a library card or a Guest Pass to log on. Guest passes are available at our upstairs Circulation Desk. The minimum session is one hour, but you may log on multiple times each day–you’ll just need a new Guest Pass each time. If no one is waiting for a computer, your session may be extended. Our computers run Windows 10, have 3 browsers available–Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox–as well as 4 Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Publisher, and Powerpoint.

You may not save anything to our computers, but you may attach documents to your email or download them to a flash drive.

Printing & Copying

From our Public computers you may print in black-and-white or color. There is also a copier for patron use. Black-and-white is $.15 a page for letter, $.30 for legal and ledger, and color is $.50 for letter, and $1.00 for legal and ledger. Payment is with coins (no pennies please!) or bills. We cannot charge printing to your library account.

Mobile Printing

In your browser, go to print.princh.com. Our printer ID is 108906. Make sure you have downloaded the file(s) that you would like to print ahead of time to the File Manager on your device. Then, upload your documents. Choose your print settings by clicking on the gear button. You will not be able to edit settings for your documents once you send them to our Print Release Station. Watch a how-to video here.

You can also email documents:

Then come to the library and print your documents at our Print Release Station behind the Reference Desk!

Free Scanning

We offer free scanning in black-and-white or color at our Public copier. You’ll just need to bring a flash drive. There are instructions located at the machine or any of our staff will be happy to assist you.

Free Proctoring

We are currently offering free proctoring services. Please contact the Adult Services Librarian, Jennifer Tyson, for more information via email at jtyson@mclinc.org or via phone 610-828-0441 x 107. Please read the proctoring procedures.

Meeting Spaces

We have two different meeting rooms that can be reserved on a first-come, first- serve basis. Details, such as capacity, fees (if applicable), and room-use policy are all provided in the application.

The large meeting room is hearing loop accessible.
Click HERE for the meeting room policy and application.

Two free study carrels are available upstairs, beyond the Mystery section. They are available first-come, first-serve. They have a whiteboard, table, chairs, and trash cans. If you would like to borrow markers for the whiteboard, please ask at the Front Desk. There is no time limit on these areas. They do not have a door and are open to the Library.

BANNED BOOKS WEEK

Fight for your freedom to READ!

Visit the Banned Books displays in the Adult NEW and Teen sections, and check out a title that has been challenged in the past few years, according to the American Library Association. Their complete list is HERE.

We celebrate access to reading materials year round, but especially this week!
