Dear Library Supporter,
We are pleased to announce our second Wine and Cheese (and Chocolate!) Fundraiser: An Evening with the Community to Benefit the William Jeanes Memorial Library, in April 2019.
As an independent 501(c) non-profit, the Library is dependent on fundraising to meet our current goals and set new ones. In the past year alone we saw an increase in the number of visitors, the number of items circulated, and the number of programs offered. We are looking to expand our services to meet the needs identified by users: adding computer instruction classes, different book clubs, new items like doll kits and Kindles to circulate, and improved, accessible furniture.
Our first Wine and Cheese fundraiser in April 2018 was so successful—with almost twice as many attendees as expected—that we are hoping you will want to be a part of this special evening with our neighbors. Our guest speaker this year is Robert Peters, Philadelphia Magazine’s “Best of Philly: State Store Employee”, and instructor at Main Line School Night. He will take our guests through the merits of several wines available at our local Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores, as well as answer questions from the attendees. Every guest will receive 4 free tastings, plus the opportunity to purchase a glass or even a bottle of their favorite. We will have plenty of light fare, live music, and fun raffles to round out the evening.
The goals are modest, but the benefit of having your name in front of all of these guests, plus throughout the year as a Sponsor, is enormous! We hope that whether you have supported us in the past or are a new Library supporter, you will participate by:
We encourage you to review the enclosed form and select a sponsorship opportunity to demonstrate your support of the Library and its mission to be “a resource center which serves the diverse and changing needs of the community by providing materials, programs, and services for education, enrichment, and enjoyment.”
