Wine and Cheese and Chocolate Fundraiser Sponsorship Opportunities 2022

Spring 2022

Dear Library Supporter,

The William Jeanes Memorial Library and Nicholas and Athena Karabots Center for Learning is holding its third Wine and Cheese (and Chocolate!) Fundraiser, “An Evening with Your Neighbors,” on Saturday, May 21, 2022.

We’re looking forward to gathering again, after suspending this event for two years. We’re planning an indoor/outdoor event that will maximize our beautiful space, and provide a safe environment for everyone to enjoy. The goals are modest, but the benefit of having your name in front of all of these members of the community, plus throughout the summer as a Sponsor, is enormous!

This year, we’re raising funds specifically to improve our outdoor programming options. Over the past two years, we’ve held everything from storytimes to book club to craft club to a special effects make-up class for teens in our outdoor space. Patrons enjoyed the opportunity to gather and continue our award-winning programs on our lovely grounds, and we hope to make outdoor programming a regular feature going forward.

As an independent 501(c) non-profit, the Library is dependent on fundraising to meet our current goals and set new ones. During the past few, challenging years, the Library is pleased to have
been able to offer curbside pick-up when the Library was closed, and new, creative programs when we could only meet virtually. We added new, unique materials to our collection, we
enabled Auto-Renewal for our items, and we increased our book and ebook purchasing to meet new demand. We’ve received grants and pursued new sponsors, all while promoting “Extreme
Customer Service!”

Our last Wine and Cheese Fundraiser was very successful—with a 20% increase in attendance and almost double the number of raffle tickets sold. We hope that whether you have supported us
in the past or are new to this community event, you will participate in one or more of the following ways:
● Becoming an Event Sponsor
● Donating food or gift cards, or other items needed to make the evening a success
● Contributing a basket for our Raffle

We encourage you to review the below descriptions and select a sponsorship opportunity to demonstrate your support of the Library and its mission to be “a resource center which serves the
diverse and changing needs of the community by providing materials, programs, and services for education, enrichment, and enjoyment.”

On behalf of the William Jeanes Memorial Library Board of Directors and the Fundraising Committee, thank you for your consideration and support.
