Library Spring FUNdraiser 2024–Sponsorships
February 2024
Dear Library Supporter,
The William Jeanes Memorial Library and Nicholas and Athena Karabots Center for Learning is holding its annual FUNdraiser, “An Evening with Your Neighbors,” on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
We’re looking forward to gathering in the library again, and are planning an event that will maximize exposure to our beautiful space, while attendees enjoy literature-themed wine pairings! This year, we’re raising funds specifically to acquire and replace furnishings. Over the past twelve years, we’ve held thousands of programs from storytimes to book club to crafts, lectures, movies, and a weekly drop-in program for teens. Patrons enjoy the opportunity to gather, work, study, play, and learn throughout our library, and it’s taken a toll on the tables and chairs.
As an independent 501(c) non-profit, the Library is dependent on fundraising to meet our current goals and set new ones. We’ve achieved Gold Star status with the Pennsylvania Library Association, recognizing the emphasis on literacy—in its many forms—through all of our programming, and we are spending this year reconnecting everyone with our material through new bookclubs, reading challenges, and special events.
Our last wine and cheese Fundraiser was very successful—with increased attendance and a third more raffle tickets sold! We hope that whether you have supported us in the past or are new to this community event, you will participate in one or more of the following ways:
- Becoming an Event Sponsor
- Donating food or gift cards, or other items needed to make the evening a success
- Contributing a basket for our Raffle
We encourage you to review the enclosed form and select a sponsorship opportunity to demonstrate your support of the Library and its mission to be “a resource center which serves the diverse and changing needs of the community by providing materials, programs, and services for education, enrichment, and enjoyment.” The goals are modest, but the benefit of having your name in front of all of these members of the community, plus throughout the summer as a Sponsor, is enormous!
On behalf of the William Jeanes Memorial Library Board of Directors and the Fundraising Committee, thank you for your consideration and support.
