ALL TOGETHER NOW: Explore Montco Libraries this Summer!

Did you know there are 20 independent libraries in the county? Count in their branches and there are more than 30 library locations throughout Montgomery County! Every library in Montgomery County has its own, unique personality. Some have an amazing collection of local authors’ works, while others have developed an extensive selection of Mystery titles. Some libraries have an outstanding Library of Things (like our Board Games, American Girl Dolls, and Lawn Games), while others have study carrels, passport and Notary services, large Children’s play areas, and distinctive architecture. Some libraries are located in repurposed buildings (including a bank, an office building, and a roller skating rink!) while others are more modern structures. Each one is as unique as its community!

This summer, we’re encouraging all patrons to visit other local libraries to see the services, resources, and activities available to everyone!

There are two different ways you can complete this Challenge:

1) Pick up a paper “Passport” at the William Jeanes Memorial Library, and as you visit each library, write down the Secret Code displayed at those libraries. Don’t forget to grab our Code too! Return your completed Passport to the William Jeanes Memorial Library by Aug 31st. Download a PDF here.

or

2) Register for the Explore Montco Challenge on Beanstack HERE.  At each library, you’ll complete a different activity to earn badges and complete Challenge.

Visit as many Montgomery County libraries as you can by August 31st.

At the end of August, we’ll draw a name from all of the returned Passports (paper and online.) The prize is a one-year membership to Longwood Gardens or a year-membership to Audible Plus. The first person to visit all of the Libraries on the Passport and return it to William Jeanes will also win a prize!

This contest is open to everyone!

We thank the Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library for sponsoring our Summer Reading Challenge!

NO PUBLIC COMPUTERS TODAY

Due to a software issue, the public computers are still out of service.

However, you will still have access to wi-fi, copying, scanning, and mobile printing.

This is WJM-specific, and does not affect our neighboring libraries, if you need to use a public computer.

Thank you for your patience!
