Emergency Closings Policy

Emergencies or catastrophes, including, but not limited to, extreme weather, utility failure, demonstration, bomb threat, fire, explosion, or terrorism may require closing the library.  The primary consideration in any emergency or catastrophe is the safety of all persons in the building and on the property.  The library cooperates fully with public safety departments and emergency service providers.  The Library Director or, in her/his absence, the Reference and Adult Services Librarian or President of the Board of Directors will determine when to close the library during an emergency or catastrophe.

Fight for your freedom to READ!

Visit the Banned Books displays in the Adult NEW and Teen sections, and check out a title that has been challenged in the past few years, according to the American Library Association. Their complete list is HERE.
