The Building Addition and Renovation Project

Building improvements include new heating and cooling systems, new and expanded electrical systems, new lighting and plumbing fixtures, and new roofing and windows. The construction of a two-story addition added 7,000 square feet, bringing the library’s total space to 18,000 square feet. An elevator now affords easy access to both floors, and added parking makes it easier to visit. See the floor plans, below, for an overview of the layout. All of these brick-and-mortar improvements were made possible through the generosity of Whitemarsh residents Nicholas and Athena Karabots, and the Karabots Foundation.

The library is in the midst of a capital campaign, which is raising funds to underwrite the cost of new furniture and equipment. We invite your participation in this fundraising effort.
