Library Spring FUNdraiser 2025: Wine and Cheese, May 3 – Sponsors, Raffles, and In-Kind Items

Dear Library Supporter,

The William Jeanes Memorial Library and Nicholas and Athena Karabots Center for Learning is holding its annual Wine and Cheese (and Chocolate) FUNdraiser, on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

PURCHASE EARLY-BIRD TICKETS HERE! ($40 per person; must be 21+ to attend)

We’re looking forward to gathering in the library again, and are planning a colorful event that will maximize exposure to our beautiful space, while attendees enjoy Latin-inspired wine pairings! This year, we’re raising funds specifically to expand our collections. Over the past thirteen years, we’ve circulated our items several million times over, and materials like books are very expensive to replace.

As an independent 501(c)3 non-profit, the Library is dependent on fundraising to meet our current goals and set new ones. We’ve achieved Gold Star status with the Pennsylvania Library Association, recognizing the emphasis on literacy—in its many forms—through all of our programming, and this year we are reconnecting everyone with our circulating material through multiple book clubs, reading challenges, writing programs, author talks, and special events.

We hope that whether you have supported us in the past or are new to this community event, you will participate in one or more of the following ways:

• Becoming an Event Sponsor
• Donating food or gift cards, or other items needed to make the evening a success
• Contributing a basket for our Raffle

We encourage you to review the information below and select a sponsorship opportunity to demonstrate your support of the Library and its mission to be “a resource center which serves the diverse and changing needs of the community by providing materials, programs, and services for education, enrichment, and enjoyment.” The goals are modest, but the benefit of having your name in front of all of these members of the community, plus throughout the summer as a Sponsor, is enormous!

□  Classic @ $2,500—Wine sponsor; name and logo throughout the event and PR; prominent placement on Sponsor Board at event entrance; website and newsletter listing through summer 2025; Nameplate in a New adult bestseller; 4 tickets to event.

□  Fiction @ $1,000—Tasting Station sponsor; name and logo with food throughout event and PR; prominent placement on Sponsor Board at event entrance; website listing through summer 2025; 2 tickets to event.

RAFFLE BASKETS:

Would you or your group—from a local organization to your home book club—consider contributing a basket or large new item for our Raffle? (Value of at least $50.) In the past we have had raffle items of everything from original art to handmade crafts, local restaurant and small business gift certificates, to

to feed your imagination, and we are happy to offer thematic suggestions if needed!

IN-KIND DONATIONS:

We are also seeking donations of appetizer and dessert trays, as well as gift cards for refreshments and for raffle baskets. Glassware, tablecloths, and fresh centerpieces are all needed as well.

• Anticipated guest count is over 100 attendees.
• A letter acknowledging all donations will be sent after the event.
