Children going into 2nd through 6th grade are invited to join us at the Library to play chess with other children. We will have some chess sets available, but if you have one at home, please bring it along. Joe Fox, volunteer chess aficionado and retired teacher, will be on hand to help facilitate the program and to open up the hour with a chess puzzle. Mr. Joe has all of his background clearances to volunteer with children, but parents/caregivers are still required to remain in the Library building throughout the program.
Please note that this program is intended for children who already know how to play chess. It is not an instructional class but rather an informal gathering to allow young chess players to play with other kids.
Registration is required. Please complete a separate registration form for each child you wish to register.
