Join Ms. Rachel for Preschool Storytime, for children between the ages of 3 and 5 with their caregiver. Siblings welcome! Today is the Human Rights Campaign’s Welcoming Schools National Day of Reading, so Storytime will have a special focus! After a national hate group bullied a young transgender girl in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, her community rallied behind her by hosting a community reading of I Am Jazz by transgender advocate Jazz Jennings. Every year, in honor of the Mount Horeb community’s allyship, communities across the country join in A Celebration of Stories Supporting Transgender and Non-Binary Youth. With this theme, we’ll enjoy singing, stories, movement, and fun! Bring your own shaker and scarf, or use one of our sanitized ones.
