In this four-week program, children in grades 3, 4 & 5 will explore Newton’s 3 laws using hands-on experiments.
Week 1 – We will explore the concept of inertia by understanding the science behind “magic tricks.”
Week 2 – We will learn how mass affects and speed on an object impact the force needed to move it.
Week 3 – We will explore the concept of balanced and unbalanced forces.
Week 4 – We will identify opposing forces through a variety of hands-on experiments.
This program builds on the previous weeks, so please only register your child if they will be able to attend all four weeks (barring illness or emergency, of course).
You only need to register once to be registered for all four weeks.

Out of an abundance of caution for staff and patrons, the Library will be closed on Sunday.
All programs and meetings are canceled, and nothing will be due. Please do not leave any Library materials outside or on the ground.
At present, the Springfield Library will also be closed on Sunday.
Check back before heading over on Monday 1/20 for any changes to our opening schedule.
Stay safe and warm!
