Musiquita is a bilingual (English/Spanish) interactive educational music experience, appropriate for children of all ages and backgrounds, as well as kids at heart! The wife/husband duo features Blanca Cecilia González (violin/voice/uke/percussion) and Jesse Elder (piano/vocals/percussion/melodica). They perform originals, Latin Folk music, classical, jazz, pop, children’s classics and so much more! They have a play-based approach to learning that encourages the audience to sing, dance, and move along with them in a joyful celebration! Another library describes Musiquita as “a vibrant and sparkly bilingual experience. Young children and caregivers are made to feel welcome, as they can’t help but move to the beat and learn some new words. Jesse and Blanca are the whole package, providing superior musicianship, all while bringing the fun and panache. High quality entertainment for all!”
This 4:00 p.m. performance will be geared toward families with children ages 5 and under, while the 2:00 p.m. performance will be geared toward families with children between the ages of 6- and 10-years-old. If you have children in both age groups, feel free to choose the performance time that best suits your family’s needs. Younger or older siblings are welcome!
