Once a month, this group reads a book from Lauren Tarshis’s “I Survived…” series, short historical fiction books that cover major natural and man-made disasters and events throughout history.

At the meeting, we discuss the book and do an activity related to the topic.

This monthly book club is for children in grades 3-5.

This month we’ll read and discuss I Survived the Joplin Tornado, 2011, and learn about the formation of tornadoes.
