This family-friendly program features live dance and music in a vibrant and entertaining performance full of color, rhythm, and energy. Explanations are intermixed with high-energy performance pieces, as well as plenty of audience participation. Audience members of all ages will learn about the elements of flamenco like the castanets and las palmas, rhythmic hand-clapping. They will also learn about Flamenco’s “zapateo”(footwork). This captivating performance gives family members of all ages a true taste of the Southern Spanish art of Flamenco; children and parents alike will leave with a big “Ole!”

Flamenco Y Más is a local Multi-generational Spanish and Flamenco Dance Ensemble that performs in festivals both local and throughout the Delaware Valley. Anne Margaret O’Malley is the Artistic Director and Choreographer. They were guest Artists in Wilmington Ballet’s Nutcracker 2022 and Performed in Philly Fringe 2022 and 23. They have been featured artists with the Delaware Valley Opera Company in “Goyescas” 2023, Flamenco Family Fun, and “Carmen” They offer weekly classes and rehearse at Jenkintown Dance Arts where they have performed in their recitals. There is a place for everyone in Flamenco. ¡Olé!
