Children in grades 3-5 are invited to join Chester artist Keville Bowen in Creating Comics a six week workshop that simulates the brainstorming, designing and creating of the comic book industry. Learn helpful drawing tips like making characters, page layout and storytelling. Expand your knowledge of cultural comics from around the world. And when all is done, the comic is sent to print so you can get your own copy, which will also be cataloged and available for check-out at William Jeanes?
Families should only register their children if they will be able to attend all six sessions (illness and emergencies excluded, of course).
You can view Keville’s incredible art work here!
This program is made possible by a grant from the Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library Nancy Corson Creative Writing Fund.
