Children in 1st through 5th grade are invited to join us at the Library to play chess with other children. We will have some chess sets available, but if you have one at home, please bring it along. Joe Fox, volunteer chess aficionado and retired teacher, will be on hand to help facilitate the program and to open up the hour with a chess puzzle. Mr. Joe has all of his background clearances to volunteer with children, but parents/caregivers are still required to remain in the Library building throughout the program with their children.
Please note that this program is intended for children who already know how to play chess. It is not an instructional class, but rather an informal gathering to provide young chess players with the opportunity to play with other kids.
Registration is required.

Due to a software issue, the public computers will be out of service all weekend.
However, you will still have access to wi-fi, copying, scanning, and mobile printing.
This is WJM-specific, and does not affect our neighboring libraries, if you need to use a public computer.
Thank you for your patience!
