Winter Olympics Preview Matinee: COOL RUNNINGS

Now that the Paris Summer Games are behind us, we’re looking ahead to the next Olympics–the Milano-Cortina Winter Games in 2026! 

So come in for a cool afternoon enjoying these classic movies showcasing the Winter Olympics:

Thursday, August 15: THE CUTTING EDGE (1992) Rated PG

A temperamental figure skater and an arrogant former hockey player attempt to win the Olympic Gold Medal as a figure skating pairs team.

Thursday, August 22: COOL RUNNINGS (1993) PG

When a Jamaican sprinter is disqualified from the Olympic Games, he enlists the help of a dishonored coach to start the first Jamaican Bobsled Team. Inspired by the true story of the Jamaican Bobsled Team.

Thursday, August 29: MIRACLE (2004) PG

The true story of Herb Brooks, the player-turned-coach who led the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team to victory over the seemingly invincible Soviet squad.
