Parenting does not come with a manual! There are so many parenting books, but which ones will help you become a confident parent or care giver?
Join us for a monthly meeting of caregivers of children ages 18 months-5 years. Each month we will focus on specific parenting/child rearing book, with time built in for general discussion.
While it is not required to have completed the book before the meeting, we encourage parents and caregivers to do so to be able to get the most of the discussion. Books will be made available for check-out.
The book club will meet in the board room and child care will be provided during the book club in the community room.
This month we’ll be reading and discussing chapters 3 & 4 of The Whole Brain Child: 12 Revolutionary Strategies to Nurture Your Child’s Developing Mind.
Discussion will be lead by Youth Services Librarian, Eileen Denton. In addition to a Master in Library and Information Sciences, Eileen has a B.S. in early childhood education. Before working in libraries, she was a classroom teacher for toddler and pre-K, as well as first through fifth grades.
Registration is required.
