Monday, February 18th, 2019
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Community Room

Older teens walking away from the camera in stark black and whiteApproximately 1 out of 3 teens will end up in an abusive or unhealthy relationship before they leave their formative years. Approximately 1.5 million high schoolers, both boys and girls, when asked admit to being hit by a romantic partner in the last year. But how do you bridge the gap and talk to your teenager about these sobering statistics?

Lydia Lynes, Community Education Coordinator for Laurel House, will discuss approaches to talking to your teens about dating violence, whether you’re worried about their relationship or just want to encourage them that you’ll always be there for them.
