Travel in your kitchen with your taste buds! Sign up for a take-home portion of this month’s spice. We’ll pack up enough to make a dish (we provide the spice, you provide the rest), and include a short geography, history, and sample recipes with the spice for you to enjoy.
Native to the subtropical regions including India, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean, cumin has been used in cooking for millennia. It is the seed of an herbaceous plant and is as both the whole seed and ground. Like many spices of the region, it’s a crucial part of many Indian spice blends, but once introduced to the West, it is now used in cuisines from the cold northern European countries all the way to the New World. Warm, spicy, and aromatic, it’s a backbone for all kinds of food.
Sign up below and you’ll receive a confirmation email with information about picking up your take & make bag.
Then, join us on Tuesday evening 9/26 IN PERSON to share and discuss what you’ve made with the spice club! Registration required.
