Travel in your kitchen with your taste buds! Sign up for a take-home portion of this month’s spice. We’ll pack up enough to make a dish (we provide the spice, you provide the rest), and include a short geography, history, and sample recipes with the spice for you to enjoy.
Native to Jamaica, allspice is a berry with a warm flavor, much like cinnamon and clove together. In Western cultures, it’s typically used for spicy sweets, but it can be used in savory applications as well, like Jamaican jerk chicken.
