Omar S. Khawaja, the author of the Ilyas & Duck book series, is a Muslim-American born in the Middle East with family roots in Pakistan. Omar grew up in New York and started writing children’s books in Washington D.C., where he currently lives with his wife, three kids, and lots of noise around the house.  Omar will be staying after the Ilyas and Duck show to meet and greet families, and for guests to take pictures, get autographs, and/or purchase books.
