De-stress and de-compress with art! Did you know that exploring artistic activities has benefits beyond just developing creativity? Children ages 6-10 are invited to engage in artmaking, make connections with others, and reflect on art processes and products, under the guidance of a board certified art therapist. While this workshop is not considered therapy, children will learn art-based modes of self-expression that they can continue to utilize as coping mechanisms throughout their life.
Registration is required.
Workshop will be led by Celeste Wade, MA, Board Certified Art Psychotherapist and Licensed Professional Counselor, of The Child and Family Art Therapy Center and funded by a Keep It Safe grant, coordinated through Family Services of Montgomery County as part of the county Drug & Alcohol Community Prevention Program, an initiative of the Department of Health & Human Services’ Office of Drug & Alcohol.
