Request items from other libraries in our system from home, 24/7!
Begin this process on your computer by initiating a search in the “SEARCH CATALOG” box at the top of almost every page on this website or by clicking the “MY ACCOUNT” tab at the top of most pages. You will need your library card and you must create a password in order to use this feature.
Use the MY ACCOUNT tab to control your account—besides requesting new items, you can see if previously requested items have been shipped and how much longer you have to pick them up after they have arrived, find out when all your due dates are and renew items here.
The Jeanes Library has eBooks!
Click on the download audiobooks and eBooks button to the left to access the library's digital audio collection and the new eBook collection. Check the "supported portable eBook device" page for compatibility. Sony Readers, Nooks are compatible.

With hundreds of exceptional titles to choose from, our online collection is sure to have something that fits your tastes. From popular novels by Nora Roberts, Catherine Coulter, Dean Koontz, and Amy Tan to the classic works of Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, and even Homer — our audio book collection spans nearly every genre. The collection also includes children’s, educational, and a wide variety of non-fiction titles including some in business, history, and self-help.
Digital audio books (digital versions of traditional audio books on tape or CD) can be enjoyed on your PC or on hundreds of portable WMA/MP3 players. You can also burn many audio books to CD and listen to them in the car or on any standard CD player.

Nooks for Loan
We have 12 nooks which you may borrow. They can also be requested when they are all out. They must be picked up and returned at the Jeanes Library. Please click here to see images of all the books you will find on our Nooks. Currently there are 48 books, including teens and children's books.

Computers for Public Use
There are 18 public use computers in the adult department including 2 specifically designated for job hunters. Bring your Jeanes Library card to sign on to use the computers. If you don't have a Jeanes Library card, we will give you a one day pass to sign on to use the computers. The computers are free to use, but printing costs $.15 per page for black and white and $.50 per page for color. There is one public use computer in the teen area and there are 3 public use computers in the children's department as well as 3 play and learn stations for very young children which do not access the internet.
WiFi in the Library
During regular Library hours, patrons can access the Internet through our free WiFi service. Bring your laptop and find a comfortable spot for tackling that homework assignment, writing a short story, or just checking email. Blackberries and iPhones welcome, as well. Just keep them muted while your fingertips tap away. Printing is not available through WiFi. Click Here for WiFi Instructions
Passes are available to a number of local museums
Our passes are available on a first come, first served basis. The membership cards may be borrowed for 3 days by any library cardholder who walks into the Jeanes Library. Click here to see which passes we have and their specifics.
