Native American and World Music with Daria

Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Community Room

Join us for a special program with Daria Marmaluk-Hajioannou, an active member of the Lenape tribe and an award-winning world music children’s performer. In this fully interactive program, we’ll discover a wonderful mixture of music and instruments from this region’s Native American culture as well as from indigenous cultures from around the world. Daria will bring these exciting traditions to life, allowing us to become a part of the celebration and the fun of exploring Native American and other world cultures. Daria will introduce unique, authentic instruments and allow us to take part in playing them. We’ll even get to make drum beaters and discover the first style of pow-wow drum. This program is partially sponsored by the Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library. Please register below or by calling 610-828-0441.
