Daniel Finds a Poem
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Children ages 3-7 and their families are invited to join us for a special program featuring Daniel Finds a Poem by Micha Archer. Daniel wants to participate in the Poetry in the Park event, but first asks his animal friends for help. After a week of discovery, he is able to share a magical poem that incorporates the essence of the entire book. The collage illustrations help to celebrate a sense of wonder and poetry everywhere.
In addition to reading the book, we will also enjoy related activities featuring music, art, math, science, movement, and poetry. Additionally, each family will receive a free copy of the book to take home, and will be entered into a raffle to receive free admission to Longwood Gardens for the entire family. This program is offered celebration of Pennsylvania’s One Book, Every Young Child initiative, which highlights the importance of early literacy development in preschoolers and the significance of reading early and often to children, as well as engaging them in conversation and other activities around books.
