About Jeanes

Our Mission

“The mission of the William Jeanes Memorial Library is to be a resource center which serves the diverse and changing needs of the community by providing materials, programs and services for education, enrichment and enjoyment.”

This is a very exciting time for the William Jeanes Memorial Library. On June 8th ground was broken for an expanded and renovated library which will be more energy efficient and will provide more space for children, young adults and adults. In addition there will be more meeting room and study space. The 7,000 sq ft, two story addition has been made possible by a $4,400,000 gift from Athena and Nicholas Karabots.

We are temporarily closed to facilitate our move back to Joshua Road. You may use any of the other MCLINC libraries until we reopen on March 5. The closest are The Conshohocken Free Library, Wissahickon Public Library and The Free Library of Springfield.  Please keep in mind that you can order online through our shared county library system. Just click on the CATALOG link at the top right of this page to get started.
